Thursday 6th July

A jet lagged but happy QEGS lions tour were delighted to reach Auckland, New Zealand today.

Today we visited Auckland's Sky Tower and enjoyed the stunning views of bays, Auckland and extinct volcanoes while Mr Jones tried to not get too excited about the geographical views and Mr Head not to scared of the 358m drop!

This was followed by a light training session and tour of Westlake Boys High School before the lads were hosted by their New Zealand families. The training session was a great way of blowing off the cobwebs from the long flight with even Mr Lines and Mr Lewis joining in! Hopefully the boys will have a great time with their hosts and get to learn the best about Auckland form the experts!

Tomorrow's 2 fixtures are both against West Lake High School with a 3.30pm start in NZ meaning a 4.30 am start by UK times!

Eddie Pitchford described the views form the Sky Tower as 'stunning', a word it is rumoured he normally only reserves for young ladies!

Liam Stephenson enjoying the view of Eden Park, where the bosys will be watching the Lions on Saturday!
