Mon 10th Queenstown & training at Invercargill

Early morning keanos.

It was a late start so some lads worked hard to get some extra training in while others, worked on their 'rest phase' (Lucas S and Patrick S- cough, cough!)

Amazing views over Queenstown

Once the cloud burnt through we were rewarded with spectacular views of glaciated lake Wakatipu and the 2000m+ snowcapped Remarkable mountains in the distance.

Mr Jones began his Geography lectures...

And for once the boys enjoyed tales of U shaped Valleys, glaciation and temperature inversions causing cloud formation at the head of the valley.

Trev struggled to work his 'selfie stick.'

Despite claiming to be an expert on his own, Mr Barker struggles to work his selfie stick to a 90 degree angle with a bit of company.

The real fun begins!

The boys then went luge racing down the mountain. Thanks to our tour committee, sponsors, friends and family who have raised so much money to give the lads such fun activities to do!

Harrison B takes the lead over Wiggy!

Todd T tears it up!

Todd had been to Queenstown before so he dominated proceedings.

GO! GO! GO!

Sunset over Invercargill = Hosting Time

As the sun sets training ends and the lads got to meet their hosts from Verdon College. All at QEGS would like to express the appreciation for the kindness and work that has gone into giving the players the chance to meet local families.
